Intern Position Descriptions

School Coordinator

School Coordinators will work under the supervision of the Executive Director.  They will be responsible for:

• Giving or supervising  the  Free Teens classroom presentations, and supervising the peer counseling sessions

·   supervising ULTRA Teen Choice Service Club meetings weekly at their schools
·   picking up snacks for Club meetings monthly at the ULTRA Teen Choice office
·   coordinate the activities of the college STAR Guide mentors assigned to their school.  STAR Guides may help with Club meetings, classroom HIV/AIDS prevention presentations, and peer counseling sessions. 
·   keeping enrollment and attendance records for Club meetings and Club activities (such as peer counseling) and entering them into the ULTRA Teen Choice online data system within 24 hours of a  Club meeting or event.

• Keeping record of Props incentive activities in the ULTRA Teen Choice online data system and entering them within 24 hours
• Submit a brief report by email within 24 hours after each club meeting.

·   administering pre and post tests for classroom presentations, and for ULTRA Teen Choice Service Club meetings.  Also, recording how many students were present .
·   serving as liaisons to the Faculty Advisors of the school to work out scheduling issues, etc.
·   tracking expenses and keeping records of receipts
·   notifying the ULTRA Teen Choice office of materials needed
·   preparing hand-out materials
·   making referrals to the ULTRA Teen Choice central office and to the designated partner social service agency in cases where sexual exploitation is reported

• Informing ULTRA Teen Choice in advance if you are unable to attend a scheduled meeting or presentation at your school
• Sign a pledge to be abstinent from sex before marriage (for unmarried school coordinators) and from drugs and alcohol
• Consent to a background check

STAR Guide College Mentors

STAR Guide Mentors report to the School Coordinators.  They are responsible for:

• assisting in leading ULTRA Teen Choice Service Club meetings
• assisting in conducting classroom education and activities
• assisting with Club alumni activities

Estimated total 2 to 3 hours per week
